So I actually posted this on Facebook about a month ago, and cause I'm hopeless and never keep up to date with anything, I didn't know it was a blog homework topic on here.
Thus I present to you:
1. Daria
This show man.. Oh my goodness.
I used to watch it every day after school because it was just so damn funny.
But I think I have a very similar dark sense of humour to Daria. A lot of people who I talk to don't really understand a lot of the jokes that I make, which paired with my incredibly monotoned voice (just like Daria) makes me an absolute delight to speak to.
I think there are a lot of differences between the two of us; I'm way more worried about superficial things than she is, but overall her sarcastic sense of humour and general "I don't give a fuck about your opinions" attitude fit me perfectly.w
2. Vanellope Von Schweetz
First up: this movie is way too underrated.
It is a masterpiece.
But anyway, honestly one of the first things I'd think of that's similar between myself and Vanellope is how annoying we both are.
If I'm super comfortable around someone, holy crap do I turn into an annoying little monster.
But looking past that obvious one, I think that both myself and Vanellope are passionate to the level that we both will try our hardest to achieve something that we've dreamed about, even if it seems impossible.
One of the best messages I've ever gotten from this movie (and any movie) is that life is a constant struggle, but the things that you're passionate about are worth fighting for.
And that with supportive friends and , maybe life won't seem so difficult.
I'm also a bit of a loner.
Old mate Vanellope lives by herself in a cave. She's not really accepted by the other people around her because she's a glitch.
I'm sure everyone's felt like this at some stage in their lives (probably as a teenager), but I've always felt like my brain was running on a different wavelength to other people, like I get what people are saying and what they mean but I just see everything so differently to other people.
Another one is that I do anything I can to make my friends happy, even if it's only a tiny gesture, like Vanellope giving Ralph the "you're my hero" cookie/medal.
Sometimes when people you care about are hurting or just aren't themselves, it's important to remember that even if you can't fix the problem, you can always do something to help them. You never know what will help.
I don't have a lot of friends, but the ones I do have mean everything to me.
Also this is a potential Halloween costume but I'm torn between that and a slutty maid, oh my god the choices.
Plus I call people that I love really childish nicknames.
And I'm a fucking princess.
3. Jigglypuff
Okey dokey.
So this one is actually not one that I chose, but plenty of other people have pointed out similarities so let's just roll with it.
My ex boyfriend in high-school used to always tease me about how I'd puff my face up or wrinkle my nose up when I was annoyed (which made me even more annoyed, thus the cycle continued) and would tell me I looked like Jigglypuff.
He had dreads, so I returned the favour and said he looked like Tangela.
More recently, I let one of my best friends nickname some of my Pokemon in PokemonGo and, among some other really weird ones, he nicknamed my Jigglypuff "me".
(By "let" I really mean "he took my phone and I didn't know what he was doing until about 2 minutes before he was done".)
So I showed another one of my friends and she said she was changing her Jigglypuff's nickname to my name.
Now I think I know about 6 people who've done that.
I think it's because I have big eyes, and I'd like to think it's because I'm adorable but I guess we'll never know.
Plus, I can sing pretty well when I try.
And I'm NEEDY.
Bonus!
4. Belle
So I just added one in because I thought of it after I'd done the 3, and it's just necessary okay?!
But I'll make it quick cause it's an extra.
First off all; bookworm.
Always dreaming of other places.
Able to look past the exterior: I 100% mean it when I say looks aren't important to me, it's what's in the heart that is truly important.
Bookworm again, cause damn I love reading.
Weirdly romanticised view of everything.
Talks to inanimate objects.
Loves deeply.
Looks hot as fuck in ballgowns.
Princess (duh)
(I've been thinking about doing a set like this, in costume. Thoughts on that?)
