This weeks blog homework was to write about your favorite scent. I tried to think of something other than sautéing onions and garlic, but nothing came to mind! So I thought I'd catch up a bit and use a past topic from before I became a hopeful! I found "what is your favorite tattoo?" And what better than tattoos??!!! ♡ I have been collecting my tattoos for about 8 years now! Some are to symbolize past events, some are for family and of course some are just for fun ;) If I had to pick my absolute favorite, itd have to be my jason masks!
I got these bad boys about a year ago after a lif time love for the horror genre, friday the 13th in particular! There's a common tattoo which involves 2 theatre masks one crying, one laughing. It says "laugh now, cry later". Having a tattoo artist for a stepfather, I can't tell you how many people I've seen get that tattoo, my mother and brother included! After having the mask jason wears embedded in my brain, I one day thought it would be funny to make a similar tattoo but with jason seeing as he has no face expressions! And of course jason doesn't cry, he kills!
About 6 months after getting the masks, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend a convention called Monster Mania! While there I met my hero! Derek Mears!!! The man who plays Jason in the 2009 film "Friday the 13th"!!
He was an absolute sweetheart! Which to be honest, was a little werid! After explaining I wanted him to sign my legs so I could tattoo his signatures, he spent 15 minutes choosing the right marker, placement and wording! He wanted to make sure I was 100% happy with what would soon be a permanent part of my body! He was more meticulous than most tattoo artists I've met! The end result was amazing.
I love to see these tattoos everyday and remember that awesome day! And I couldn't be happier with the way the look and I know for sure I will never grow old of them! My love for horror is forever on my body, and I couldn't ask for anything better!
