Hi there, SG world! I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina, officially the Argentine Republic. We are a sovereign country of South America, located at the southern and southeastern end of that subcontinent. We adopts the form of republican, democratic, representative and federal government.
In almost the whole country we speak Spanish, also in some provinces languages of native people (aboriginals) are still spoken, unfortunately fought by many people ashamed of our indigenous roots. Well, we have a great European presence after the world wars and the Argentine is proud of that in general. Most of the grandparents and great-grandparents of my generation are Italian, Spanish, German, Polish.
We have a heterogeneous feminist movement, strong and in full growth, driven by the campaign in the search for legal, safe and free abortion. In one of the shootfest that I attended in France I was able to chat with English, Italian, Australian, French girls of course, Americans and they all have legal abortion in their countries!
We have telos (sex hotels)! Telos are as cheesy as they sound, there are telos for all social classes and everywhere. The shifts can be from two hours, you can even spend the night and all include breakfast. LED display counting down your minutes of ‘intimacy’, jacuzzis, wall to ceiling mirrors, kitsch furnishings, themed rooms (no joke!), sex toys on sale, and some give loyalty cards! You can’t help fell like you’re in a dodgy 70s porno movie. An Englishwoman who lives in Buenos Aires has talked about this on Twitter and has inspired me to write this homework blog! We have it naturalized and generally we don't know that there are no telos in other countries 😂
There’s no logical explanation for how much things cost here: for the price of a litre of milk you can travel 84 km. in any first world country, twice. Even soy milk is cheaper, which is what I choose to consume.
Also we have free healthcare and education to university level! People from all the world come to study here and are welcome. That is absolutely the pride of my country! ✊🏻❤️
Thanks @missy, @rambo @lemon and @sean for this amazing topic! ✌🏻✨
