How weird is it when things are going shit for sooo long (real time, a year) then all of a sudden the future of your entire life begins to look much more promising within the span of a week (real time, a week).
I got made permanent at work, which means I'm now guaranteed a 40hr week and wage plus the benefits of holiday/sick pay. I don't know how it all works in the rest of the world but over here it seems to be a rare opportunity to be offered a full time job, its mostly casual work where you can just easily be disposed of at any time.
I start volunteer work at an animal shelter this Thursday. I went on a tour of the place yesterday and there's lots of puppies and cutey dogs there so it should be fun. Its also going to be a tremendous help towards passing my animal studies course and the hands on experience should increase my chances of getting a job in the industry. Yes thats right kids I do have aspirations beyond garbage picking!
And, and and and some hot punk boy that is friends with my friends boyfriend (what?) asked my friend about me! (did you get that?) Basically some cute boy wants me! Awesome!!! In recent times I've become an utterly cynical bitch so I'm not getting my hopes up too much, I know he's cute but I've never actually had a conversation with him so there's still high chances he could be a tool. I'm staying hopeful though, its been nearly 2 years of being single, surely the universe is gonna throw me a bone (literally
)!!
