things are going really freaking swell. seriously. just got back from a weekend in Huntington beach (for the rest of us, that's in the O.C. near LA) and met my BF's entire family. It was really nice. He's so lucky that his family gets along disgustingly well. His mom and step-dad came over to the barbecue at his dad and step-mom's house. Weird right?

Made him an awesome dinner for his birthday tonight (smoked portabella mushroom burgers with handmade garlic aioli/mayonaise). Soooooo good. earlier, i took him for a half hour ride on Lake Merritt in a gondola. Anyone in the area should check them out. The gondolas were all made in Venice and shipped here. the guys (gondoliers I guess) are from Italy and sing in Italian as you enjoy the wine and cheese you bring for yourself. I it.

I finally found a roommate. She's also a teacher, actually in the town next to where I work. The old (bitch-ass) roomie says she's coming by tomorrow. I'll hold my breath too. Hopefully she will and I can get her keys. Then I won't have to change the locks. I can't wait to see her face when she realizes I've moved all her shit to the basement.
