Hey Guys,
I hope you're all well and are having a good 2016 so far.
I'm so sorry that I've been MIA on here lately. I've really been struggling a lot with my sinus issues over the last 2 months. Getting through everyday has been a struggle, all I've wanted to do is sleep and when I have had the energy to do things it just leaves me so much more exhausted afterwards. The fatigue and the pain that has come along with this has been the real killer.
I went to the specialist yesterday (after having to wait 2 months to get in) and now I'm having surgery in a weeks time (8th of Feb for those of you that are curious). I wasn't really expecting that to happen and definitely didn't think that it would happen this quickly but I'm glad I don't have to wait any longer, because I think I would lose my mind if I had to keep feeling like this. What I found out yesterday is that I have a deviated septum and the tubes into my sinuses are too small, so the only real option that I have is surgery. I had tried everything else that could possibly help and none of those things have worked so when the doctors said surgery was the only option then I just went with it. The reason why it's happening so soon is because I head overseas at the start of May so this will give me the full recovery time at home before I leave. I am feeling pretty nervous about it but I know it's the best thing to do.
On to less crappy news.
My first set comes out in 2 weeks and 2 days. Which I think is either the 15th or 16th of Feb? My math is terrible lol But I have worked out that it will come out at about 6pm here in Sydney. I'm excited and incredibly nervous about it coming out. I think most of the nervousness is because I haven't been feeling great about myself and how I look lately and it's pretty hard to look at myself in those pictures at the moment. I really hope you all like it though.
About 3 weeks ago I was lucky enough to get to hang out with all the incredible SG & SGH babes and babein togs at the Sydney Shootfest. I wasn't really sure what to expect going into it, I had been feeling pretty bad body image wise for a few weeks before hand so I was pretty nervous about the whole thing but in the end I felt so comfortable with everyone which was fantastic. I was lucky enough to travel down with the amazing @arachnie who calmed my nerves so much, she is an absolute sweetheart and I love her dearly.
The first night that we were there we went to have dinner with everyone at a 50's style diner which was super cute and then we went back to the shoot house to hang out for a little while. Both @arachnie were exhausted and had 6am shoots so we didn't stay too long but it was good meeting a few people that night.
The next morning I had my early morning shoot with @captureofcthulhu I was so keen to work with him and I really can't wait to see this set finished, what I saw on the back on the camera looked so amazing. @captureofcthulhu is an incredible photographer and he's just as good at posing as all of us girls haha
Two of my fave girls @coolicio and @ambra came in an gatecrashed my set. This photo is too funny.
Here's a little sneak peek of this set, excuse the super super low-res picture
Later that day (after a little nap) I had my shoot with @victory, she is a total sweetie and I had such a good time chatting and shooting with her, she is so incredible. I've seen a few pictures from this set and I absolutely love it. It's so vibrant and colourful and it makes me so happy. I can't wait for everyone to see this one.

And a sneak peek:
On the Friday night we had a get together at the house, it was so good to hang out and get to know everyone. Everyone in the SGAustralia community is so incredible and they have such beautiful souls. It's so amazing to meet so many people that are so kind and caring and encouraging and helpful, it's really refreshing.
Photo with the lovely @haylonn
On the final day I had a shoot with @frankndame, this one was a bit of a last min shoot as I had only booked it the week before. I was so excited to work with them but also incredibly nervous. The good thing was that I had gotten to know them over the course of the weekend though so that really helped me feel comfortable, they are both so awesome and I wish we lived in the same state because I would annoy the crap out of them all the time if we were lol. I've only seen one picture from this one but I can't wait to see more, Dame actually showed me the shot just after we finished shooting and OH BOY! it gave me all the feels. I started crying happy tears in front of everyone, it was so beautiful and I honestly couldn't believe it was me. I'd been feeling so blah about myself and was so exhausted and seeing this photo just made me feel so amazing, I can't thank them enough.
Here's some behind the scenes pictures taken by the lovely Tat (sorry I can't find your SG name) plus a polaroid from my shoot.
I want to give a huge thank you to @coolicio for organising shootfest and being such an incredible human being!
And thank you to all the babes I met for being amazing and making it such a good weekend and for being such open, honest, caring, encouraging, beautiful and loving @haylonn @ambra @harvest @aubrey @dollyd @elixia @amaryllis @arachnie @fatum @boysenberry @graceless @countessa @exkyu @hylia @erinys @victory @captureofcthulhu @frankndame (and anyone I've forgotten to tag... I'm sorry!)
I hope everyone has a great week and I will make sure to keep you updated more often.
Peace, Love and Polka Dots
Valentine xx
