Since it was Halloween here yesterday (I bet there is probably still a lot of you out partying) I thought I would try to answer all the Halloween homework topics set out my @missy @lyxzen and @rambo
My Halloween this year was pretty quiet. I spent the day watching Halloween movies and we had a few trick or treaters, but it made me think of Halloween's past.
"What is your favourite past Halloween costume?"
I've never been great with coming up with costume ideas, I always tend to leave it to the last minute and it always looks pretty lame. a few years ago I went to a work Halloween party as a bloodied up housewife. I think that costume was the only one I've really put any effort into.
That was a pretty great Halloween party. I followed it up with another one the next night too. Halloween used to be like that for me, there'd be so many different parties going on but it seems to have died down.
Another year I went as Daria... I don't think I have any photo's of that, if there was any evidence of it, it's long gone. I went to a friends house party after the work one and there was someone else dressed as Daria too, there was definitely a photo of that but I think it was a polaroid, so who knows where that is.
When I lived in the UK, my housemates and I decided to throw a very last minute Halloween party. I ended up going a goth girl/vampire thing. My bestie went as Amy Winehouse which was pretty awesome, she was getting called Amy by randoms on the street.
What are the best Halloween costumes you have ever seen?
One of the guys I used to work with used to go all out on his Halloween costumes. He'd spend months on them. One year he came a Predator and it was actually pretty terrifying. I wish I could find pictures of it, it was so good.
I think the ones I love the most are ones where there's multi people involved and they are all on point.
The ones that really come to mind are Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka and their family. every single year they do a family Halloween costume that just looks amazing. Grated they have the funds to get costumes made or ones that are pretty detailed but they always look so cool. This Year they did a Star Wars theme but my favourite is their horror characters one.
Tell us about your favourite horror movie of all time!
I used to love 'horror' movies when I was a teenager... but saying that I use the term horror pretty loosely. They were the movies that were made in the late 90's/early 2000's that tried to be scary but really just ended up being laughable. I remember going to see the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake (the first remake) with a friend, she was scared and I was laughing my head off.
I think the best horror movie I've ever seen is actually a French film called 'Inside' which is about this pregnant woman who is taunted and tortured by another woman who wants her baby. From what I remember it was pretty full on.
Honestly, these days I'm not very good with actual horror movies. I don't really have anyone to watch them with so I tend to steer clear of them, because I freak myself out if I'm on my own.
Anyway, I'm pretty tired so I'm going to bid you all farewell and leave you with some pictures I took yesterday in my 'Scars of Dracula' t-shirt.
Peace, Love and Polka Dots
