Well, school has started again. Unlike past semesters though, I am now enjoying my time at KSU. Maybe it is because I am getting closer and closer to graduating, but I don't dread school the way I used to.
We went out Saturday night for Blossom's birthday. According to her, she had the best birthday ever. I would like to give a big thank you to all of our friends (both on SG and in the regular world) who helped out.
Here is my #6 Top Album:
Metallica - ...And Justice For All
"This record has so much good material that it's a shame the production is so shoddy. Songwise, this is probably Metallica's most sophisticated album, exploring the theme of justice and perversions thereof with a vengeance. "One" is one of their best songs ever, building from a slow, edgy beginning into effortless overdrive. The title track is excellent and never boring, despite clocking in at more than nine minutes. It's the epic of the album, but all of the songs are long, displaying impressive chops and songwriting. Metallica took a commercial turn after ...And Justice for All, and it's interesting to speculate on what would have happened to their music had they continued in the direction suggested by this album." --Genevieve Williams (Amazon.com)
This was one of the first cds I ever bought. I actually went to buy the Black album, only to discover that it was sold out. I think this was at K-Mart, and the only Metallica album they had in stock (on cd) was "Justice." This album is the third cd I ever bought, after making the jump from cassette tapes and I still have my original copy.
For those who are curious, the first two cds I purchased were Pearl Jam's "Ten" and Nirvana's "Nevermind."
07 - Dredg - El Cielo
08 - Fleetwood Mac - The Dance
09 - Dream Theater - Scenes From A Memory
10 - The Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie
Glad Miss Blossom had fun Saturday. She was...oh how do you kids say it these days...DRUNK by the end of the night. Course so was I. Has she had time to use the complete fishing set yet?
