It has been a while since I put up a real entry, so here is a little bit of what has been happening in my life lately:
1 - To those who follow my blog, you know I had a falling out with one of my really close friends a few months ago. I am not going to rehash anything. I did run into her in the KSU Union last week. She was leaving a meeting and I decided to take a chance an approach her. We chatted for about ten minutes. The conversation ranged from her upcoming childbirth in a week (or so) to our lack of free time to not seeing certain friends much anymore. It was a good talk, if only a little awkward. All in all, I am glad to have approached her. I'm not sure if things will ever be like they were before, but I am glad I didn't let that opportunity slip away.
2 - Our three year wedding anniversary is on Wednesday. Of course we are poor because our student aid hasn't come in yet, but I did have some good news. I called into 101.5 a few mornings ago and won concert tickets/ meet-n-greet passes to the Rob Zombie/Godsmack/Shinedown concert on the 19th. I can't wait for this show.
3 - I have become Co-President of the KSU Underground Film Society. As if I hadn't filled up my day enough already, I decided to add even more. Our goal is to screen movies that the shitty theater here in Manhattan would never dream of showing. It is still getting off the ground, but I am very excited about the opportunity.
4 - I was able to see my friends Mickayla and Megan Friday night. It has been about a month since I saw Mick and it is the first time I was able to hang out with Megan since her move to DC at the end of the summer. I have missed both of them and I hope the chances to see them are not so spread apart next time.
That is all for now. It is almost class time and I need to get something else done.
