Well, kaff and I didn't make it to the open mic this week, but maybe next time. Instead, we had a strangely productive meeting. We usually go off on tangents that involve ogling Suicide Girls, talking about boys, or both. We still did that (mmm, Fractal), but also got some work accomplished as well. I think.
SA called to ask what I was doing after we had adjourned to the nearby Chinese noodle joint, and when he found out I was with kaff he decided to stop by and convince her to do the DCB website. He even promised to pay her a decent amount of money, and she agreed to do a mock-up of the design, so it looks like that's settled.
In less-boring news, we then drove out to the West Island with SA's friend, whom I shall call Bob for lack of a creative pseudonym. After dropping kaff off at her place, we headed to some Jewish deli/diner thing and used many of their placemats on a variation of Pictionary that involved mainly nonsense phrases of 5 words or so. One of the phrases I was supposed to guess had a forest of trees and some pirates scribbled on a placemat before Bob drew 'sounds like' and then pointed to the waves beneath a boat. I said 'sea,' and guessed 'me,' which was the middle word in the three-word phrase. Somehow, not having either of the other two words, I got 'shiver me timbers.' How's that for thinking outside the box?
But now I must go back to mind-numbing boxes of addresses and URLs. I think I'm slightly more productive while listening to AC/DC. Funny how music can make the most boring tasks bearable.
If you want blood, you got it.
And what the hell is up with these patches of peeling skin on the palm of my left hand? They look kinda like the aftermath of popped blisters, but I haven't had any blisters there. Weird.
