So I have to go to "orientation" tomorrow to start the school year again. I have to sign my contract, set up my payroll stuff, get a new ID badge, and sign all my benefit paperwork. It ought to be very exciting.... or not. To go, I have to remove all my facial "hardware", but at least I'll still have everything that isn't visible with my clothes on.... but that hardly seems like enough.
At the beginning of the week, I cut my hair to something that is hopefully a little more professional and tried to dye it to match, but instead it turned even more intensely punky purple. I absolutely love it, and it pains my heart that I probably need to "fix" it. I guess I should do that tonight, but I really really really don't want to. Blugh...

On a brighter note (slightly), I'm really looking forward to getting a new set of little kids to corrupt. However, I'm really not looking forward to calling all the parents, setting up my classroom, and going to a shitload of meetings next week. As of tomorrow morning at 7:30, I will most likely not have any more time to myself until next summer begins. *sarcastic cheer*
Now moving on to non-school related topics:
I finally ordered my camera. It hasn't arrived yet, but I'm really hoping that I get it tomorrow so that I can make some time this weekend to take photos around town. I'm so excited! I can't believe I waited until the end of the freakin' summer to get it though. I'm silly!
And I figured out that I should have a bit of disposable income to spend on DragonCon. With my erratic spending habits this summer, I was worried that I wouldn't have anything to spend, but I think I worked enough this summer that I should have a bit. And I get paid the day the con starts, so as long as I can set up direct deposit appropriately, I should be set. Yay! DragonCon. Hopefully I can get my cos-play stuff together before time arrives. I can't believe I set that off until now too.
I'm such a procrastinator. This summer is definitely proof of that. I can't believe it's over already. Oops...

It's a shame the hair must be fixed and the hardware scrapped, but look at it this way: you have to look like one of them (them being responsible adults) if you're going to corrupt the kids from the inside.
And when the hell is this damn DragonCon that I've been hearing about for months?
