I went to go see the local roller derby game last night, but we got there late due to some extra curricular activities.... and poor planning on my part. We got there in time to see the girls from both teams introduced, but we had shitty seats, until the last third of the game. By then we found some friends and used their suicide line seats, which were awesome! It was so much more entertaining when you could actually see what was going on! Holy shit! Sadly the tally girls didn't win, but I think a lot of that had to do with shitty refing, and apparently so did the players. I'm totally going to go to the next home game, Sept 22. And I'm definitely bringing my camera next time.... and getting there early enough to sit on the suicide line.
While I was there, it was amazing to see how much high end camera equipment there was in the audience. I ended up sitting behind a guy with a photography business, so I asked him about his 10D Canon. Apparently he owns about 4 cameras, with a 20D included in that. So I got his email address and I'm going to get to ask him all sorts of questions. YAY! I'm excited. I'm getting all camera excited again lately. I think I might be getting back into the groove.

"Teacher! Teacher! There's a spider over by the slide."
"Oh, well you'd better be careful it doesn't bite you, that'd hurt. Of course, that was how Spider-man got his powers..."
