I should probably clarify that health issue for you guys since I have been gone a very long time.
I found an abnormal spot in my right breast awhile back, and it has gotten bigger over the last few months. I had it checked, and was referred out to a local breast imaging center for a breast ultrasound. The ultrasound tech checked the area manually, and found it immediately. It measured about 4 cm in length.
She tried to get a clear image of the area in question, but she did a terrible job. Imagine you are trying to take a clear photograph of a book, but instead of taking a picture of the cover, you are looking at the spine instead. So she did a terrible job, but still managed to get some pictures that showed a bit of the area of concern.
She brought in a doctor to review the photos. The man came in looking annoyed, took one look at me and became more annoyed. HE asked me what the problem was, LITERALLY POKED MY BOOB TWICE looked at 2 photos, and said there is absolutely nothing there. He told me I am just paranoid and that what I am feeling is muscle tissue (which makes no goddamn sense) and that I should just forget about it.
I started to ask how it could be muscle tissue, and he interrupted me with "forget about it" and walked out of the room.
I am pissed. 4 medical professionals were able to find and measure a growing mass in my breast, and this guy tells me to forget about it. The number one rule regarding breast health is that you NEVER ignore, or forget about an abnormality.
I'll be getting a second opinion soon.
