i can't find you
and i'm tired of searching with this broken heart
of pieces left behind, the thought of you
and it's the simple things
the words left unsaid in the night
as the moisture shows our breath in the air
and i keep running back
swearing that you'll be there the next time i look
but it's always the same
just a bottle of pain to pour over my sorrows
no need to explain, i understand all to well
the look that you give hides no meaning
just another dagger in my heart

any other day
i wouldn't need this the way i do
just fade away
these thoughts repeating of the end of you

and i can't walk away from this heart ache
i can't help but take the blame
i did it all for you, or so i thought it was
doesn't matter now, it's been laid to rest
is there more to come of this bitter end
how long do i have to wait to live my life again?
