Friday... Oh yes Friday....
I wake up every morning next to my woman. A girl from Thailand who works 3 jobs. Main job at Countrywide Realty.... Second A job on Mon-Wed at an Ice Cream Store right up the block.. and a 3rd at Sri Thai Thurs-Fri.
Now... the last 2 jobs are really quite easy. Although she works alone at the Ice Cream place.. Sri Thai is a bit more catered to her. Its family run the owner rocks and shes got good friends up at the restaurant that is only 50 feet away from our Apartment.
Now I wake up every morning and go to my ft job at Best Buy... It pays great, im being promoted and there really is a future if you want it in the company. No managers breathing down your kneck, just you and the shit you got to do. Not to mention I work in Media.
Now. I feel a little guilty. We both practicaly make the same in the end. I have my bills and half the rent. And she has half the rent, so its actually pretty even. Im looking for a better job nonetheless and am starting up my own Buisiness very soon... But I wake up next to a girl who doesnt get a day off during the week, although I do since I have a 7 day schedual and by law I need at least 2 days off in a given work week.
She isnt a citizen yet and is working under the table at all 3 jobs. We are in the process of doing that but it is going to tak a good while. Now. When she does get her permits and all she will be filling out her first application since she arrived in the states... and wow... that is going to be new to her. Tax, Work Laws, Equal Oppurtunity. Wow! All the things I take for granted.
Anyway. I trully love her with all my heart. I hope she knows that since I tell her every single day of our life. Shes my soul mate.. and I admire how hard she devotes herself to her jobs. I can only be certain that one day I will land the job I so desperatley have been looking for... and my girl can go shop on 5th Ave while I sit and discuss a deal with a potential buisiness mogul somewhere in some sky scraper.
I cant wait!
