Been working a diet and more exercise into my life. It is tough to stay focused but I had a goal this year to get my weight back to 185 lbs. On January 2nd after a vacation I had ballooned to 221 lbs. I was not happy with my shape since I have always been active and an athlete. Inially, I just worked on cutting out crap like soda and beer and I did drop about 10 lbs. I was exercising regularly but the pounds were not coming off quick enough. I think that my diet needed more adjustment. At the end of July, I went on a trip with some hometown buddies and one of them mentioned the calorie tracker on LIVESTRONG.COM. I started tracking my calorie intake and trying to limit my net calories to 2,000/day. In the first ten days I dropped another 6 lbs and seem to be on track for 2-3 lbs per week. Just being aware of what I ate and limiting the amount to the 2,000 net has been great. I feel pretty good and almost everyone has noticed and commented. It is nice to hear but I really must have been a fat pig if it is that easy to notice. Anyway, I'll keep it up and see what happens. I hope to be under 200 by the end of the week. Clothes are fitting better and some old suits can come out of the closet and re-enter my wardrobe. Feeling pretty good right now.
