we began our journey upon a bright hot day. the sun drowning all but hope and worry.
arriving one by one and two by two. waiting to see what cards would be dealt us. searching the faces of our companions for a sign of intuition, or the spark of friendship.
so began the long haul. and the outsider settled into the midst of this unfamiliar idea, uncomfortable and unsure of its auspiciousness.
on to the sea that is ever beckoning. to the land of her birth and the memory of its ever shifting seduction.
ignoring her strange companions whilst gulping in the thrill of possibility and the scent of freedom and chaos on the wind.
the near full moon revealing the golden velvet hills. dotted by holy live oak and hiding in shadow what only she will ever see.
