I am lying in the jungle
the cacophany of living things stretches on forever
I listen, I pick single sounds out
one by one
a bird, a snake, branches breaking
carnivorous creatures
the wind curling around the leaves
I lie and listen
to everything all at once
I open my eyes and I see
the intensity of the colours
the vibrant blur of insanity
flashing light and shadow
the sun plays on my skin
beads of sweat drop down from my brow
I dig my fingers in the moist ground
Bury me here when I die
Not on a cold hill, eaten by the same old familiar worms
I want to be eaten by wild animals
my blood spilling
then as part of them I can always be here

It's wonderful when the notion of being eaten by wild animals can be so soothing and romantic.
