Well, yay. I'm going to try something new to see how well it works. I'm
going to update this from my G-mail here at work. I have little time when I
get home lately to get onto the internet. Work late, school, then a little
time to eat, sleep, then rinse and repeat the next day. Not something I
necessarily enjoy but for now, I'm stuck in that cycle. Hopefully that
will all be over soon and I can resume my normal experiences of going out
and about when I can, hanging with the flatmate and playing video games on
occasion.
This morning, in the break room, I discovered the secret to a better cup of
coffee. I dumped out the leftover pot and started to make a new one. But
being in a hurry to log in to my phone this morning, I stuck the empty cup
under the spout and skimmed the first few ounces off before it even touched
the pot. WOW! What a difference. Hehe. It's thicker, stronger, and I'm
starting, already, to feel the caffeine rush. That's good since this whole
morning shift thing is starting to get to me. I was late three times this
week. Once because my alarm was set wrong, once because of a traffic
accident, and once because I would swear I started at 0800, but actually
started at 0630. This is coming from someone who is at work early by 30
minutes or more. Even for my opening 0600 shifts. If they don't waive the
one due to traffic that's a written warning for me. Oh well.
So that's your story for the day. Not much of a story I know but it's
something to say. If this journal update from G-mail works, I'll be able to
keep up with this much better. It gives me flexibility that does not really
exist thanks to my schedule. Well, I hope all of you have a great Monday!
Here in the states is presidents' day. Whatever. Pointless holiday. But it's
holiday pay, and the phones will be slow. Woo Hoo! Bye for now!

When I worked on the phones, I always wanted to put a message on the out of hours line, saying "We have lives, we don't feel the need to be here before 8am and after 8pm. We have families to feed and parties to go to. So sod off". D'ya think I'd have got away with it.
Presidents day sounds as useless as the Queens two birthday days we have here.
Take care.
