So the pre-birthday weekend celebration went as follows:
Monster Trucks on Friday. Way tooo much fun for how simple (in concept, not skill) that shit it.
Saturday was a lazy day followed by dinner at Strawberry Street cafe with good friends, mostly SG friends!! Strawberry street has become my birthday dinner destination now. Later we went to Bogart's to see Bungalo 6 and theOregon Hill Funk All Stars both of whom were great and met up with a different set of friends there!! Lots of drinking and drinking and silliness afterward.
Slight hangover too.
Sunday was another lazy day followed by dinner with the rents at The Old Original Bookbinders which overall was pretty good. The met up with yet another friend and ended up at Sticky Rice playing trivia which our team won the first round and I got picked to go up for the team and won the second round. So we ended up with a $50 gift card which covered a nice portion of our tab. GO TEAM FUTCH YA MUDDA!!! We didn't even miss one question. The after effects were hanging here at my place till like 6am at which time my friend and I fell asleep to then get up a few hours later so she could go to work. (I'm a take a nap this afternoon
)
Today is the actual birthday and I have been chillin since I dropped my friend off. The ever present (in a good way) SG member is taking me to dinner later.
Tomorrow I have another dinner date and Wednesday may result in a free P-funk show!!
Plus I'm on vacation all week!!! Whoo hoo!!
