I'm gonna cry myself a river so I can
Swim back to my sweet
California
They're telling me I cry too much
That I could fill every bath and sink
In this city I got stuck in
With its tragic symphonies
Well, I'm back home. Back into real life. I found out today that my favorite teacher has cancer. I have a test tonight and a paper due tomorrow. And paying the bills this month is going to be hard with what happened yesterday. God, I don't even want to think about xmas.
Anyway, the overview of my trip:
Friday - The flight went well. I watched MST3K on my DVD player on the plane. Once I got to California, I had that fun little celebration of "OMG booze at the grocery store". I got to my hotel and was surprised at how cute it really was. It's a hostel but it's more like a hotel, and it's a lot nicer than some of the hotels I've stayed at in PA and Ohio. There was a cute light on the wall covered in flowers, so adorable. After setting my stuff in my room, I went on what turned out to be an hour long hunt for a corkscrew to open my Lindeman's. Quite the adventure.

Saturday - I woke up late, after 10, and considering the time difference, it was sort of ridiculous. I walked down the block and got a smoothie for breakfast. In the afternoon I went to a movie set that doctashock was working on. I got to see them film a scene and do some ad libbing at the end, it was pretty enertaining. I went back to my room and took a short nap. jets was nice enough to drive me around that evening, show me some of the sights. We went to a cute mexican place for dinner that had a mariachi band and everything. It was a great night.

Sunday - Was pretty laid back. I wandered the city for a few hours, had a lot of people speak spanish to me on the streets and made me wish I had made more of an effort to learn it in school. I went to Cole's for lunch. The atmosphere was interesting but the food was meh. That night I met Maxx for drinks and sushi. He gave me the info on what sounded like the best bingo ever, but unfortunately it wasn't running that night. I ended up going to see Zombieland and going back to the room where I crashed out fairly early.
Cole's:

Monday - The action packed day! I woke up early and as I was walking out of my hotel, I noticed they were filming. I started to walk away to find a bagel place and then I noticed him....Nathan Fillian was on that set. I stayed at the hotel and got my breakfast there. I think I stood and stared at him for a good 45 minutes. Yes, I am a creep. A bit after 10, d_day came to pick me up and off we went to Disneyland. It was all halloweened out and the best part - we got passes from a friend (who is a member, although I don't recall his member name) and we didn't have to wait in line for almost everything. It was awwweeeeesoooome! My favorite part was the Haunted Mansion, which was changed into a Nightmare Before Christmas thing. So much fun. Afterwards we went to In and Out, which...isn't that great. Sorry guys.
That night we went to Burgundy room and I got to meet a few more SGLA people, who were all very cute and fun. I ended up getting trashed on "screwdrivers" and talking to some french man at the end of the night. I think he got a little upset with me when I laughed in his face while he was trying to sweet talk me, hahaha. The tail end of the evening was a bit of a blur, I don't remember all of it. I know that when I left the bar I forgot my bank card and I had to go back to get it later on, which the staff was not happy with me about. And as I was leaving, I was laughing and stumbling and by the time I got to the car, I was bawling my eyes out thinking about leaving and coming back here.

Tuesday - The day from hell. I missed my flight. I had to get back by today and so I had to buy a ticket with a different airline because the original one didn't have anymore that day. Everything went wrong that day. I was in tears for a lot of it. Once I was actually on the plane, I felt a bit better but before that I was in a a daze, it was awful and bizarre. But I got home alright.
Now that I'm back here, it makes me want to leave again. I am setting plans into motion that will allow me to move within the year. It may just be to the other side of the city, at the very least, but I need to get out of the town that I'm in.
I need to make plans for Halloween still. Even though I won't have much money at all, I have to do something. It's my favorite holiday.
I have more pictures of my trip here.
Question of the day:
What are you doing for Halloween?
