Lately life with the roomies has been a jumble of house sitting, wrestling matches, Exalted, cleaning up broken glass, local bands, gay movies, and eating cheesecake with our bare hands.
Some news in brief: fatherklyde and I just got over a rough spot in our relationship and things are going great.
We found a DDR near us after we thought they were all gone!
Kahlua and milk is the greatest thing in the world.
Today I'm going to the graduation party of a friend who I haven't seen in many years.
Venla is still hot.
I managed to grow a backbone somewhere in the last week or so.
More in-depth: I think that role-playing Exalted with the roomies (and maybe their friends at some point) is the creative outlet I've been looking for. I found a way to blend my Toranea story (the one about the people who live secluded in a volcano) with the game, and as soon as I did so all the missing pieces fell into place. Pretty jazzed about that.
fatherklyde's company, P2 Promotions, is having its first show with signed bands on Sunday. The bands are Sherwood (pretty good from what I've heard, and that's saying something) and Last Amanda (who are from Sweden, huzzah).
My boss finally started paying me again for all the work I'd been doing, so I have some pocket money again (after helping fatherklyde out, of course. The other roommate still needs a job, even though he does finally have a Significant Other). I hated being a volunteer...I hated it so much.
Upcoming Things to Do include Bats Day at Disneyland (that's when all the goths go, so we'll be all tricked out and rockin'), Dead Can Dance (which I'm still giddy about), the San Diego Renaissance Faire, and (hopefully) the Ojai Pirate Festival.
I have some new pictures up in my folder. You can check them out if you want. I accidentally put them in backwards but I'm too lazy to go back and fix them. I like my hair, clothes, and lipstick a lot, but I definitely still need to work on my poses.
I also checked out the Corona Renaissance Festival a while ago (where fatherklyde works) and we went to see a palm reader. It was an extremely interesting experience, but I'll have to tell you about it later because I don't feel like writing it all, and there's half a cheesecake still in the fridge and it's calling my name.
