hello again,
i've been laying low and kind of bored since i returned home from my vacation, which was fantastic! london was a blur..i loved the big breakfasts following the friday nights out, pure anarchy! and what a mess (literally)..i realize there may be some concern about bombs and such, but couldn't someone hide an explosive in those giant piles of garbage just as easily? and the public transit there was great! it only had me lost half of the time, instead of all the time as per.
amsterdam is hands down my favorite place i have ever visited! i had alot of good nights there...alot of last times too...as in, "last time i'll do that"... legal drugs (illegal drugs) and legal prostitution aside and i still love it...there is a really interesting juxtaposition between the lovliness of the canals and the swans and all the old beautiful buildings and then the red flourescent lights, flourescent "live sex show" signs and dozens and dozens of half naked women pouting and waving at all the stoned tourists...on one hand amsterdam is very clean, organized and linear...yet it has this rotten core (and i mean rotten in a good way) that for some reason works there when i'm sure anywhere else (anywhere else in north america anyways) would probably wreck it...pretty special place.
belgium was beautiful..i've got some nice pictures that i'll include in my next entry...i ate tons and tons of chocolate and drank gallons of beer...i came back form this trip wearing tight pants i'll tell ya! it's ok though, my ass only grows back...not out <----->
and of course i visited tons of museums and galleries and to talk about all of them would make for a way to long entry, but the highlights were the rijksmusuem, the crown jewels, all the rembrandts and the heinekin brewery! it was a silly giant heinekin commercial, but i got some great pictures and i love a beer buzz that early in the day.

Who knows? I was hoping for about a year after we started, which would put it in Feb. We'll just have to see.
