Regarding my name change:
I had originally chosen Lacey420 back in 2004, when I originally joined. I had based it on my lace123 mini-photoset, taken in 1991, and which is still a favorite of mine; plus the obvious 420 reference, thinking it might help other cannabis patients/users to find me.
I was actually very surprised, but glad, to find that Annastasia had not been taken yet. It is the exact spelling variation of my middle name that I have used for over 20 years, since high school, to sign a lot of my own artwork. My middle name, Ann, is my maternal grandmother's name, and my father's side of my family is Russian, so I chose Annastasia as my art pseudonym when I was sixteen, in order to pay homage to both sides of my family. I think as a child of parents who divorced when I six, ten years later I just wanted something that reflected a mixture of the two families of which I was a product, and now 20+ years after that, I just wanted my SG name to be something that meant more to me personally.
Annastasia
