When i was a young man felt peace or happiness were dumb.
I leered at the sun.
I trusted no man and especially no woman.
Finally I discovered. real feelings for others,
like this morning, as I was leaving,
i thought of my love,
i ached for her life,
just being there.
I entered the world once more,
rode past the houses full and empty,
i saw the mailman,
waved,
he waved back at me.
