Ever wondered why humans believe that they are more than mere grains of sand in the cosmos?
How humans are so delusional in thinking there is choice and will, and suffering and joy?
When all there is, is the mere rearrangement of particles in a whole.
As if humanity beliefs that if they will the dune, a dune will emerge from the sand.
But alas, it's merely the wind that blows our destiny.

Because our life has a time stamp, if we were truly immortal, we would likely not care... Alas I agree with what you wrote, just got some new ink yesterday that is a cosmic symbol relating to just that, our existence being futile, and we're just star dust, as Sagan once wrote...

It is wrong to compare a small life form and the universe. Things are incomparable. The universe doesn't notice. But don't such thoughts cause frustration? You need to think about something else, something that you can directly influence. The universe can be admired, observed and learned, it can and should be a source of inspiration
