I'm too lazy to post regularly...
I went to the zoo, it was fun. There were many many moustaches that day:

There were spiders

and skeletons

And all manner of general fun things. Yay zoo!
I bleached my hair out *

Then I dyed it blue. It was time for a change.

I don't usually talk about really personal stuff online, but I NEED to vent, seriously.
I have a 5 year old daughter. She is the best. evar.
She also has very mild cerebral palsy. It only affects her motor function on her left side (translation - she walks a little oddly). She's really a very lucky kid in that it's rare for CP to only affect motor skills. Usually the mind is also affected, but she's bright as hell.
Aaaaanyway, last summer, her orthopedic surgeon recommended botox to help lessen the muscle spasticity in her left leg, and we decided to give it a try. So they gave her a sedative, injected her hamstring, and put her in a cast for 2 weeks. The results were amazing - her gait improved a lot within a few months. So we decided to do it again this summer...
Now comes the "super pissed off mom" part. Everything went as planned until the dr. came out right after the procedure. She mentioned that she had casted BOTH of the little one's legs this time. Me and the ex were baffled, since the little one has no problems on the right, and we intended to ask some serious questions once we got into the recovery room and had our actual "post-op meeting" with the dr.
Except there was no post-op meeting, the dr. LEFT. And we discovered that both of the poor kid's legs are casted from just above the ankle to mid-thigh. Then we found out that the dr. had botoxed BOTH legs instead of just one, which was NOT outlined on the consent form I signed. The ex tried contacting her today to get some questions answered, but she has yet to return a call.
I am seriously PISSED. My daughter is supposed to start kindergarten Tuesday, and she can't climb stairs or get up on the toilet by herself. We may not be able to put her in school till the casts come off - a full week after school starts-, just because she's barely able to get around on her own. All I want is for the dr. to give me some good reason why she did this without my consent. I can understand good reasoning, really. But I have no explanation, had no forewarning about it, and I'm getting pretty mad about it.
Seriously, am I overreacting?

And, that's a serious spider. Do you know what sort?
