I am breaking out the Emergen-C right now. I am not letting this cold keep me home tonight after the yuckiness that was this week...I will prevail.
If I want next year to be different (and I so do) there are MANY things to be done and be decided upon this month. There's not even a logical starting point to it all, so I apologize for being a bit of a hermit. It's all for a good cause
Had my first "pumpkin spice frapp lite" of the season, it almost feels like Fall now

I've been hooked on pumpkin spice lattes

Oh I know, I'm trying to stay away from the "pumpkin bread."
Ok so grad school in the winter, but it's still all finally happening...I have to admit I'm getting a bit disheartened w/this site. I don't want to feel pressured to randomly add something to a group I've been active in for a long time if I happen to be busy for a few months for fear of being dropped when I finally have time to...

Hopefully you don't feel that from our group - ATLiens.
Hope things are going well!

Oh no Hon, of course not. I love ATLiens. I was just super busy for a couple months and I went to post in a group I was a long term and fairly active member of, and I was no longer in said group. It just bummed me out a bit and I was cranky when I posted that because it's the second time something like this has happened. I'm in a better mood now, how are you?
Yay, I finally found a full time job here that's semi creative and it looks like I'm going back to grad school in the summer so far. I feel so much better...
clio:
thanks, babe

You are welcome Clio, just telling the truth!
Patience is not a virtue I possess. It makes job hunting feel like a daily trip to the dentist. Hell, at least my dentist is nice...P.S. If you are really bored I put up some new pics.
I've been working nonstop on this absurdly long (but it's work so I am not complaining) freelance project and it's made me a veritable hermit for the past few weeks. So, I apologize if I have been slow to answer messages and stuff. By next week I should come out of hiding.

great to hear! i'd love to see you at my birthday event at steak n shake! feb 4th, details are in sg atliens
After seemingly forever I am moving to Atlanta in two weeks. Yay, I cannot wait to get back to civilization. I've been in this super tiny town in FL helping family (long story)for several months now and it's time to get back to my life. Change is a beautiful thing sometimes.

Thank you, sugar!
Hey cuties, I am back. I am also thinking about moving back to Atlanta, any thoughts?

Nice to meet you.
Somewhat good people occasionally happen...
Ok, so a few months ago I moved here to a cutesy apt. complex where I assumed nothing shady would ever happen. Oddly enough there are all these tiny laundromats attached to our buildings and between the two instances where I bothered to try to use one here (and there's card entry and all for them) I've had dresses, bras...

How creepastic.
I had my bras and underwear stolen in a hostel in amsterdam by a guy from Michigan who spied on me in the shower. Stuff like that still gives me the heebie-geebies.

hahaha yes!!!! But at least you have it back!!!
Ok, so I've been working at this mega low stress but rather low paying office job for months now saving up to reopen my vintage clothing shop. So, I decided it was "get off my booty" time to find some headache inducing, bigger money job because the faster I save up (because dealing with investers, or at least the ones i've dealt with can be...

sadly no....too much beer in the sun all day.

thanks for the friend request
Does anyone have any suggestions about not getting tan? I realize I live in FL now but I really do rock the suncreen at all times and I'm usually still orange. I just fear being a "crispy critter" in a few years. Carrying a parasol would annoy the neighbors, and that appeals to me, but it just seems impractical. *sigh* By the way, I realize...

I used to have a girlfriend that was self-imposed allergic to the sun, and so along with carrying a parasol in the the sun, she'd also wear long black arm stockings and leg stockings at all times when out in the day. So, save for her face & hands, which were slathered with SPF 1,000,000+, she was pretty much completely covered from head to toe.
That's *one* suggestion, tho I certainly don't claim it to be a *good* one. On the upside, she was pretty much porcelain white. And the old-age leathery avoidance is indeed a good thing I think.
This was in Brisbane too, which is pretty much Australia's Florida - hot and hella sticky!

I only wish I wasn't too lazy to put on sun screen in the mornings.
