I was watching BBC America recently (as I often am) and saw an ad for a new series called "Bedlam" that will be coming next month. Being that I did not want to wait, I got hold of the first season (dont ask) and watched it.
The series starts off with a scene reminiscent of all those ghost hitchhikers you hear about. The twist though is that the hitchhiker is not the ghost, the driver is, and he has been a naughty boy. From there the season starts off a little unevenly but by the sixth episode you're hooked.
The premise of the show is that the family who owned/ran the Bettany Insanse Asylum (the one that became known as Bedlam in the UK for its horrors) decide to renovate the facility into condo's! This is something that is happening here in the states, the most notable of those was Danvers Asylum where they filmed "Session 9"
Frankly, I personally would not want to have a condo that once was the site of a notorious asylum.
You?
Anyway, do check out the series on BBC America starting in October.
U.E.
