Let me just say this....if you haven't read or watched the DVD for The Secret then I suggest you do it.
I watched the DVD years ago. And every now and then I browse the book that my grandma got for me one year. Well, I've never actually committed to the lessons you learn with the book. And I'm sure a lot of it is common sense, but sometimes it's helpful to be reminded by someone or something outside of your friends, family, even counselor.
So....anyway...I've been wanting to get back into horseback riding for years now, well I've ridden, but like once a month....so I decided to post an ad on Craigslist on Monday. I had responded to an ad on LocalHorse.com and I ride for the woman who posted, but only once or twice a week. Well since posting the ad, I am meeting a woman tomorrow morning at her lesson barn (for beginners) to get introduced to her and her horses. She has a 4 year old she mainly wants me to work, but she also has a few other horses that are a tad too green for riders who take lessons. Which seems like a wonderful opportunity. Hopefully everything works out with that.
Then later on around 3 or 4 I am meeting with a young woman who has a 5 year old hunter/jumper mare she wants me to "lease." The girl is 3 months pregnant and her husband isn't comfortable with her riding so she needs someone who can work her horse pretty often so she doesn't just sit in the pasture getting lazy. The cool thing about her is that she'll basically give me complete freedom with her horse. She's ridden her on 5 and 10 mile trails before so I can do that and an older woman she is friends with does trail competitions and always enjoys having someone to ride along with her so I would be able to do that. She also mentioned that she would be more than willing to trailer the horse anywhere while I am riding her.
So anyway...in two days...I've had more than enough replies to where I am now having to turn people away unfortunately.
So I do believe, when you want to achieve something strong enough and really put it out there to achieve it....you will be rewarded
So I snapped some pictures last night when I was at the barn I already ride for.
