Wow! I can't believe it is already towards the end of November and I have not had time to update in what feels like a year. Life has been moving fast and shaking hard and I always enjoy a fast and jolting ride. It is nice to have a couple of days off and I am looking forward to relaxing and having some time with my family. My jobs are going great. I have been employee of the month for the last two months at my new job with troubled youth. I wish I got a pay raise, but I will have to take the hoodie and t-shirts instead. I have to say that it all ready feels like I have been there a year. I am really enjoying it, but I am already feeling a little burnt out. I have a heavy case load and the kids that I am working with are pretty messed up. The new program requires me to spend a lot of time with them, their families and over seeing all of their supports, school, mental health, probation etc. But some days I feel like I am managing everyone else's family but my own. It kills me to see the damage that their families or society has done to these youths.
My research job is going well as always, but is a little hectic to manage this year b/c of the new job. I have few interns that are helping out and that is really taking a lot of stress off of me for the moment.
The most important thing in my lifemy little man is doing awesome. He is playing basketball, getting great grades, is getting ready to start wrestling and of course still enjoys the little things that make himwell him ( old movies, old video games, Godzilla, and coin collecting.)
I have rented my apartment (finally finished the duplex) and I have two great older college girls. It helps to have the extra money. I also got a new dog that ROCKS. He is two and already trained and does tons of cool shit and is super protective of the house, me and my little guy.
Some new things about me:
*I cut my hair shortlike pixie short...I will try to send a picture
*I am addicted to the Super Mario video game machine at my work and I sometimes go after hours just to play it.
*I am taking a strip dance class that is kicking my body into shape
*I am in lovehe he he
*I applied for summer leave jobs in Sedona, Arizona; Alaska; Bend Oregon; the lower west of CO_I hope to get one so I can have some sort of grand summer adventure.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!

i know this is the SG equivalent of a mass xmas card letter
but at least it has hot chicks to go with its sentiment!
sorry for the cookie cutterness but i'll get back for real later...like when my mom isn't here and i don't have to work tomorrow early...
hope you unwrap sweet delights this holdiay season...
and start the new year off with a playful, colorful bang...
or at least a pop...
but whatever you do don't shoot your eye out!
happy holidays and lots of love!
