no kidding on the sweet job,,, it beats the cubicle...
How's everything been? Had good holidays n all?
Anyhow,,, re: songwriting. With me, I usually try to come up with the chorus or refrain, usually the melody, and try to figure the lyrics round that.. Then build the rest of the song around it. Alot of the time, I record the music and listen to it looped while trying to write lyrics for it (and I always have a rhyming dictionary handy).
I've tried with writing verses before the 'hook', but I always find that the hook then lacks the impact that it should have (you know, that feeling of anticipation of the hook coming, and the sastifaction when it does,,, this make any sense?)
What I find with the really good songs, is that when the chorus finally comes in, its like you already know what the melody is going to be, like the verses leading to it sort of clues me in to how to expect the most fitting hook, and then brings it.
Sorry for the long babbling...
talk to you later,,,

Yo, sorry you found the comment offensive. I wasn't suggesting that you leave the group.. I was trying to insinuate that this probably isn't the best place to find the most monogamous people. I understand your frustrations regarding monogamy, hence why I tend to gravitate towards conservative women (even tho I'm not particularly religious) in my personal life. Who knows, maybe that doesn't work either. Let me know if you find anything that does.
