Well, things have been going great with the new girl. One thing I have to say I'm very happy about is that I caught one before she became totally jaded by relationships like most people have. I know I've said it before, but I've got to say it again. Cuddling rules. Period. Anywho, much more to like about her, but all of that is just details.
Her best friend is being protective of her, but causing no real distraction about what's developing between us. I assumed there would be people that were not going to think it was a good idea from both sides, but nothing worth having comes without a little hardship.
My GM at work was actually really cool today, and I spent a good amount of time BSing with him about this that and the other. If you knew the guy you'd understand why I took the opportunity to chill with him a little. Most of the time he's not exactly a "plesant" person. He likes me cause I was the first guy to stand up to him and his flying off the wall antics. Sometimes you have to butt heads a little to come to an understanding.
Speaking of work, one of the night crew got fired, one suspended, and at least 2 have put in their notices. One of the night waitstaff got busted in the parking lot smoking pot and that didn't exactly go over well with the higher ups. Well, drama being what it is, our night crew will be undergoing a serious realignment, and they've already asked if I'd be willing to come back for a while to help them build some stability again. Blah. I love working nights, but I'm really enjoying having a "real life" and just don't think I'm going to be able to tell them yes.
I met with the guys that were looking for a singer for their band for a little "get to know" and partial audition. They seemed like pretty decent guys and we had a good time. I'll be getting a callback with a verdict in roughly a week.
