1. Hopey and I made Marsala marscapone chicken, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, spinach salad, and chocolate mousse last night. Rest assured it was delicious.
2. It does mean, however, that I didn't have leftover cupcakes to take to our fantastic waiter at brunch this morning. The past few months I've been bringing him some. It started when he was brave enough to try one of my bacon cupcakes. I figured he was worthy. Last month I gave him a half dozen fluffernutter cupcakes and when we walked in this morning he said his boyfriend wanted to know where I worked. It's nice to know that they're good enough to pay money for, I guess.
3. I wish there was a small scale farmers market around here. I'd love to rent a kitchen space and sell cupcakes on the weekend, but both the Portland and Vancouver farmers markets are pretty big business.
4. I also wish I had one of these. I didn't manage to take any pictures of the stuff we made last night.
5. It's a beautiful day, so of course we spent it inside the movie theater watching Iron Man. My review: That rug really pulled the room together.
6. We picked up some Trader Joe's Ultimate Vanilla Wafers when we were shopping for dinner yesterday. They're fucking fabulous. All kinds of flecks of vanilla and just way better than a vanilla wafer should be. Makes me want to make a cheesecake.
7. My husband and I were having sex last weekend and we made a transformer blow right outside our bedroom window. At least, I'm pretty sure it was us.
8. I'll probably make caramel macchiato cupcakes for camping next weekend. That is, if we can afford to go. Neither one of us are working this week, so I'm not even sure we'll have the gas to get there. Better times ahead for sure, it's just a matter of making it through the next few weeks.
9. That said, I'm thinking of having a white trash party next month. Everyone brings their favorite white trash food, and bonus points if it's a Paula Deen recipe. I'd make Rotel and Velveeta dip with Fritos, of course, and a Twinkie inspired cupcake.

I can not wait to make these. My mom didn't let me have white bread or marshmallow fluff either at home so when I was in elementary school in Connecticut, I would always choose a fluffernutter on white bread for lunch.
I also ended up drinking an ungodly amount of kool-aid when I moved out of the house because we were never allowed to have it. This is why I try to take a more moderate stance about Q's diet.
