I'm having the strangest collision of old and new lately. I'd say there was something strange going on with the cosmos if I was inclined to believe such things.
MisterSatan and I are irrevocably now on the way to getting out of Southern California. He's flying up for a fourth and final interview with a tech company in Vancouver, WA next week. I just scheduled a second phone interview for an industrial sales position in Vancouver. We put the deposit down on a little green house up there:
and I'll be giving both my landlord and my current office notice this week. It's exciting and also completely nerve-wracking.
That's the new. On the old end of the spectrum, I received two different messages on Myspace from two different long lost ex-boyfriends completely out of the blue. I mean, I'm glad that they're not dead or anything, but the timing is just bizarre. I haven't decided if I'll even respond to the older one, and I have no idea what to say to the other one other than, "I'm glad the Army didn't kill you."
And in present news, I bought and am currently sprouting wheat berries for sprouted wheat berry bread which I'll probably make Tuesday. This book:
is amazing and I recommend it for anyone interested in baking, whole grains, or baking with whole grains.
