So most of you don't know, I'm sure, that I've been a reiki practitioner from a very young age, I hit level 2 reiki practitioner around age 12, and have since recertified in 2005. I've been considering what I can do with Reiki lately, thinking of starting a practice maybe, but from what I've heard from other Reiki practitioners its very hard to get one going. Stories of 2 clients in 2 years...
So I looked into volunteering... Duke is a hospital system close to me, and they are nationally known for having Reiki used in the hospital... except they don't. No one I have spoken to on Duke's side can point me any further than a woman who TEACHES reiki through the Integrated Medicine section of Duke.
Look like Duke stopped offering it... ok... someone else... how about a hospice? Oh. Right. Covid. No one is taking volunteers in any capacity right now...
So I wait?
I've tried giving away Reiki to friends, and I always get this.... "Oh man I'm super interested in getting Reiki." Then? No followup.
Any suggestions, oh web of the world?
Anyone have experience with Reiki as a practitioner?
Any pointers?
