This is one of Nietzsche's favorite phrases, and that is why I am getting it! Also, the concept of the love of fate means a great deal to me, especially since I am very skeptical of the notion of "free will."

I was just reading about free will in a book called "The Moral Landscape". It is interesting to consider how many of our actions are driven by chemical impulses and spontaneous ideas that pop into our head. How many times have we done or said something and immediately thought afterwards, "Why did I do that?" This seems to happen even more frequently in stressful situations.
