well i just got back into town after a fairly succesful weekend.
friday was b-rad's b-day, so after the shattered chotch show in waukesha the was a little get together at the cambridge estate. by little i mean surprisingly huge. ando drunkenly confirmed at about 2:30 in the morning that it was indeed a "fucking goddamn", but this was by far the biggest goddamn that i'd ever seen. i have no idea how many people were there, but i only knew about 2/3 of them. by about 3:30 i was ready to go. meg gave me a ride home which fortunatly was only about half as depressing as i was expecting it to be.
saturday i killed a lot of time playing around on SG and playing video games. i did manage to go for a walk down to kinkos to fax off some band contracts. i found out that one of the guys who lives upstairs, mike, works there, and he gave me a deal on their ridiculous fax rates. on the way back i swung by farwell music. picked up braid - movie music vol. 1, and to my amazement they had a spacer to make 7"s with large diameter holes fit onto standard small holes. i've been trying to find one of those fuckers for months and everyone either had no idea what the hell i was talking about, or no idea where to find one. now i can finally listen to those Thee Fine Lines and Toys That Kill records. went back to my parent's house saturday afternoon to work on my bikes for a while, and finished out the night by hanging out with dyan one last time for the summer. she's supposed to be going to massage therapy school in grafton before too long. i hope to see her every now and then because she's been the best friend that i've got these last few months.
sunday, went up the U.P. with my dad and two other guys to spend the day riding on the trails up there. it was pretty fun. neither of us broke anything on either ourselves or our bikes, which is pretty much unheard of. although we both ran out of gas a couple of miles from the truck.
i'm looking forward to the rest of today being a waste. i'll probably take a walk down to brady street, i don't know.
edited to add: just before getting to the wisconsin/michigan border yesterday we drove past a roadside stand selling, amongst others, nazi flags. fucking nazi flags...wtf? i mean i know that there are all too many fuckers out there who would fly one of those horrid things, but to see them prominently displayed for purchase along a state highway was something else. i was pretty much in disbelief about that for the rest of the day and thought it was worth mentioning.
