well today was my last day of work. and what do you know, i wake up late. i must have shut off my alarm without waking up again. i usually move my alarm clock around just enough that i can find it without waking up, but i figured i'd have a week or so with my new set-up before i'd have to worry about that shit. anyways, i managed to go from slumber to shaved and out the door in ten minutes. made it to work on time, and my boss never came in. granted i didn't have much if any supervision anyways, but i was expecting some kind of a final review and talk about me possibly coming back next semester or summer. but...nothing. though when i got there i found a good sized box on my desk with my name on it. inside were two bags of minutely sized candybars, a cake, and a card from the two head maintenance guys and this one lady who i was doing some work for (they're the only people besides me who had an office on the second floor). the card a $20 gift card for sprawl-mart (hey, twenty bones is twenty bones). all some much appreciated shizznit.
the one thing i didn't really care for was that the card had two of those little christian propaganda pamphlets that try to make you question your relationship with god and shit. i was well aware of their religious beliefs and i entirely respect their views and opinions, but i really don't think work (or schools) are a place to make the topic of religion an issue. i was aware of their beliefs because it was a topic that came up; with the one woman, whom i'd shared a good amount of personal conversation with, and i'd walked into the office that the two guys share while they were having a conversation about it with the woman (i kept quiet about my views simply because i'm not a fan of stirring up unnecessary controversy). these things are all well and dandy, they were respectfull, non-confrontational, conversations that just happened to come up at the one place we share(work). however i dislike situations where someone imposes their views onto others. i realize this wasn't some brutal offensive to change my "wayward ways", but it was none the less a subttle attempt to impose their views on me.
oh well, it's still been a great day. i recieved free shit, got to be lazy at work, and was greeted when i got home by a new Reagan (my favoritest SG) set. teh hotness bitchez, teh hotness. i still gotta take that shower i didn't get to this morning cause i think i'm actually going out tonight.

I ate at Jimmy Johns last night and went to the grocery store. I'm so very slowly working on getting out more, but I don't even think I've been outside this suite yet today..
I got nothing when I quit my job. They even let me leave early.. Not one damn gift. After two years! I do believe this past friday, I got my paycheck, but that doesn't count.
