so yeah, weekend you say? well here goes...
decided thursday night to go spend the weekend up in menomonie riding with my friend scot who goes to uw-stout. this meant bailing out of class about a half-hour early on friday to head home so i could get my shit together. drove an hour there, worked on the bike, loaded up a weekend's worth of crap along with all the riding necessities, and ate as much food (that i didn't have to pay for) as possible. from there it was another four hours north, then west (factoring in the wrong turn in green bay) before i got there.
spent saturday and sunday riding at arkansas cycle park out in timbuckfuck nowhere. the place was groomed beautifully when we got there saturday morning, but after two days of use, it was pretty hashed out when we left tonight. of course i can't make it through two days of riding without breaking something. this weekend's tally included the rear brake, bending the silencer, and rounding things off with a flat rear tire. this year has redefined bad luck for me. i got to sleep on a really uncomfortable futon and meet some cool people though. at milwaukee we have towers for dorms so i hadn't hung out in a dorm "hall" in something like four years. menomonie's got plenty of good places to eat and hang out, but they all close really fuckin' early. that place is a weird mix of hick town and college town.
on the way back i made a detour to La Crosse to hang out with the saramonster. our first meeting in person seemed pretty overdue, but was a shit-ton of fun and seemed to go relatively well. she was a little..."off" shall we say(?) from the start and pretty much went downhill from there. she kept reffering to herself as "delerious", i'm sure due to the combination of tiredness, sickness, and who knows what else. regardless, i found it pretty darned funny (dare i say; cute?)
throughout our wandering about downdown La Kriss Kross i did my best to innundate myself with caffeine for the 3 and a half hours of driving that i was still facing, but i fell short. i was considering just pulling into a rest stop and sleeping, but that would have meant missing class. i kept on truckin' (or as close as you can get in a 4 cylinder S-10) to a 24 hour truck stop a little ways west of madison where i sat with my double sized can of Rockstar liquid attention span at the counter of an Iron Skillet dinner shooting the proverbial shit with some trucker from winnepeg. when i got home about 4:15 or so i found barely enough room to park my truck in the back of the house, the guys upstairs were waaaayyy over. i had about 3-4 inches on either side of my very narrow truck and had to use the window Dukes Of Hazzard style to get out.
as always, thanks for checking in. i'm done.

I'd say you had a much more eventful/fun weekend than I did, but everyone does because mine are lame, so I guess that comment really can't count for anything.
Atleast you didn't break any bones, though, right?
I can't wait to see the halls when I go to Eau Claire. My friend Sara who visited near the end of september was jealous because her dorm sucks major ass. Her dorm walls are just plain concrete blocks with, and here's the real problem..really ugly drapes.
Where's the nearest Walgreens? I need to get there this mid-afternoon. Are you done with class by, and up for a long ass walk around 3:30? (assuming you read this before then! otherwise I get to guess )
blegh.
relationships suck.
and why don't we hang out in real life? i live on the east side. on lafayette. hells yeah.
