And the World of the Weird Monster Show's newest cast member is.....Clancy Brown!
Okay, not really, but he did shoot some stuff for us today. How cool is that? Two of my all time favorite films from my teen years--that I watched over and over again--were "Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension" and "Highlander." and of course, Clancy is in both. Not to mention Carnivale, another fave of mine, Shawshank Redemption and Lex Luthor on JLU. And a billion other things.
He's in town shooting for the Nightmare on Elm Street remake and he's an old college friend of the marketing director of the theatre I general manage/film buy at. We also have an acting school there and so he came by today to speak to one of the on camera film classes.
And so I got to talk to him for awhile (very cool guy, very nice) and he shot a bump for our show as well as some short bits that we'll be able to use in some fake Channel 666 Action News Breaks over the course of the next season. We've had plenty of celebs do bumps for us at Flashback Weekend, etc--but this is the coolest one we've had where the actor participates in sketches since one of our very first....which was Tom Atkins punching me and stealing my girl
So that just made for a very cool day! Look for it in upcoming episodes!

An audio commentary of an episode, you say? What's that, and how does it work?

I'm not sure how much I'll be able to contribute to the discussion, but if that doesn't bother you, I'm up for it. When you have the detailed info, send it to me in a PM.
