Though I'd finally post some pics from one of our last shoots. I can't remember which show this was as it was just one of our camera guys snapping some shots so not too much episode specific.
Gilli and Salome on set. Now that I look at Gilli's school girl costume I can tell these pics were from the episode where we showed Creepers (Phenomena) the Dario Argento movie with Jennifer Connely.
Set shot
Camera man getting artsy taking a shot of the monitors in the control room
Me in another kinda artsy shot
Another set shot
When we tried to organize 5 seasons worth of misplaced props. Yes, that's our coffin at the very bottom. What, you don't like powder blue?
One of my more favorite props piles.
Otherwise not too much going on. Been LOVING this weather lately. Fall is here. Sept-Dec...best time of the year. And of coure, Halloween, the best holiday of the year. The time when the whole world looks like the inside of my head!
This is my first real Halloween at the Wilmette Theatre which I run and book films for, etc. Last year we had a film festival over the holiday so I couldn't really do much. This year we've got Rocky Horror Picture Show (which we have once a month anyway.) For the kids (and kids within us all) we have the MAD MONSTER PARTY! We're having face painting, pumpkin decorating, costume contests, etc and then the Rankin & Bass stop motion animation classic MAD MONSTER PARTY from 1969 which will be awesome. I designed the poster for it (using the DVD cover as a template...think it turned out well:
And then on Halloween night itself we're having a special edition of our Silent Film Night by showing the 1925 Lon Chaney PHANTOM OF THE OPERA with live piano accompaniment which will be just awesome. Right after Trick or Treats!
And then of course we'll have our annual Halloween Special for our show. We start filming that on 9/24. Be hard to top our last one, but we'll try. Just can't wait for the leaves to start turning and it to get just a bit colder.
Bought Dracula and Frankenstein Monster pens yesterday and their eyes light up. Best time of the year!
