Oh, fuck it. I may as well stay on at least until my account expires in a week or so. Like I have the willpower required to stay away- especially if I've still got the site bookmarked. It's too easy to click, and so.. hard.. not.. to click..
I've been working, schooling, drinking beer in the park high school style, generally enjoying the tentative onset of spring, pretending that I don't love clove cigarettes as much as I really do, and trying to figure out what I'm going to do this summer.
It would seem that the university isn't offering any upper-level Classics courses for the entire summer semester, and those are what I need to complete my degree at this point. I've pretty much used up all of my electives floundering about like a fish in vinegar for the past few years, and I don't have the money to fuck about anymore. Provided I actually want this degree, of course.
Current options:
a) Go to Comox. Work full-time at the vegetable farm. Live with parents to save money. I would likely be miserable, but I would have money come next year.
b) Stay in Victoria. Work as much as possible. Take one or two electives.
b) Go on an archaeological dig in Jordan. Get credit for GRS 493 in the process. It might be too late to sign up for this, and I don't know how much it costs. Six weeks long. Must figure out living arrangements for the rest of the summer if this is the plan.
c) Tell school to sod off, once and for all, and dart away to Paris. Learn French. Work in a vineyard. Live out all childhood romantic hopes, or have them crushed in the face of reality. One of the two.
That's where I'm at.
And now, to sleep until I go out this evening. I need more than four hours of sleep per night, apparently. I'm human after all. Who knew?

Whatever you choose, I think you should grow a beard over the summer.

Not many beaches in C-town, sadly. I might be here for the summer... maybe not. It all depends on what happens in the next month. Ha ha.
