i understand the allure of the "The Squeaky Wheel Gets the Grease" mindset. but let me tell you this: it doesn't work with job-hunting. if you constantly pester a potential employer, you're not causing them to notice you and the benefits you can bring to the organization at the expense of them paying attention to other candidates -- you're simply being a pest. and if you decide to act pushy about it, guess what? yep, you're not coming across as endearing or motivated, you're just coming across as a pushy nutjob. what's really odd to me is that the majority of folks who act this way are women. and this is the *exact* same behavior that women complain that they experience from men that they aren't interested in. think about it this way, ladies: if this mode of behavior wouldn't win me a rub against your rugae, the same behavior isn't going to win you $45k a year and a benefits plan from my company.
