i just thought of something else. all the time you hear people talk about how they owe so much to their primary school teachers. now don't get me wrong, i had a good relationship with, and even liked, my primary school teachers (except for Mrs. Kindred. she was a cunt and she knew it), but precious little of what they taught me has been in any way applicable in my daily life. i can honestly say that the majority of educational benefit that i have received has been from my own learning, even back to those tender early ages when i was just a young Mr. Noah and not an Uncle at all. basically, primary school is there for one purpose and one purpose alone: breaking the human spirit. in much the same way that cowboys break a wild horse and turn it into a beast of burden, primary school teachers break the will, spirit and free minds of young children and reprogram them to sit up straight, fold their hands, raise their hand to speak and even beg permission for life's most basic things like taking a leak or getting a drink of water. history? i knew the textbooks were wrong because i learned history at home. mathematics? i couldn't follow elementary school arithmatic, and instead turned to alternative learning methods. arts & crafts? please. they gave me tempra paints and macaroni. at home i would work in whatever medium struck my fancy. the more i remember those early school years, the more i realize how rotten they really were.
