In a mood. People are assholes. Not all of them. Not even a majority do I believe are assholes, but enough to take notice and feel down about. I'm probably not much better depending on who you ask. No... maybe I am. When I go walking down the street and see something or someone I dislike but am aware of that whatever I'm observing is harmless, I don't go in swinging fists, knocking whatever it is I don't like down, laugh, and then go about my day. Live and let live. Seriously. Why do you have to fuck with people? Put them down. Approach with challenging and adversarial hostility and attitude. It's one thing to take someone's shit and deal it back to them, but it's completely another to be the instigator of the feces throwing contest. And how much more of a pussy are you when you decide to join in on a mob-like ass-kicking?
Desensitized. Desensitization. (blah blah blah, whine whine whine... so what are you going to do about it?) I don't know. Complain some more? "....give me the strength to change the things I can, accept the things I can't, and the wisdom to know the difference." I like that quote for some reason. It has substance. Meaning. It is applicable to life's struggles and conflicts. Both inner and external.
The sensitive must accept and cope with the insensitive. And we all have different sensitivities... some more than others. And one person's ideology sees a world of thick-skinned desensitized punks whose past time is throwing rocks at whatever catches their eye for whatever justifiable reason.
Every culture has their "jock". The meathead trample and laugh mentality. And the girls it seems may as well be cheerleaders. Beautiful, popular, and aware of it. Easy to recognize in their uniforms and surrounded by fans. Who needs to be nice or kind when you have so many friends or people in line waiting to be your friend that everyone is more or less disposable?
K... I'm going to go crawl back under my rock now. Poseur. "If you don't like it, go back to Af... suburbia!"
