I'm in Louisville for the holidays. It concerns me that I can't be there for my girl when she's going through all of this, but things seem to be working out. I'm helping her get on her feet financially, and her father is giving her an old truck. Her sissymaid was in town this last weekend and helped take her places, so I'm happy that someone was there taking care of her. She also seems to be healing very quickly, which is good. Though she learned the hard way yesterday not to take meds on an empty stomach.
I'm missing my girls a lot, but I'm also having a great time with friends and family here in my hometown. Next year, I plan on bringing my girls if they're able to come.
I really need to get an audiobook or something for the trip back down to Atlanta. I looked around a bit, and for some reason Kushiel's Dart isn't on audiobook, but some of the later ones in the series are. People keep telling me that I need to read this series, but it seems like I hardly ever have the time to read.
Okay, that's not quite true. Any time someone tells you that they don't have the time for something in their life, what they're really saying is, "Other things in my life are important enough to me that I'm not willing to sacrifice any of them to make room for this." Everyone makes time for the things that are important to them. So, some nights I could spend less time in World of Warcraft. But I don't even think about it until it's too late. I'm already dead tired and laying in bed before I'm like, "Man, I really should have read before now." I used to actually make sure to go to bed at least 15 minutes early, so that I could get at least that amount of reading time in. Maybe I'll try and create that habit again.

banbury:
Were you at 80s night last week?
umbralechoes:
Nope, and I meant to go this week, except I totally got my days mixed up and last night I thought it was Wednesday for some reason. So... next week I'll be there!
