Went back to my home town of Louisville last weekend for a friend's wedding, and stayed up there to .chill with my peeps for a while. The wedding was pretty awesome -- that cathedral it was held in had been converted to a museum, and it had all sorts of neat things around like old printing presses, bells and clappers, etc. During the reception I did my usual thing -- for every drink I had, one button on the shirt got undone. Ended up dancing a couple of times with the bride, and the groom, during the dollar dance. I got pretty tipsy, but not drunk. Might upload some pictures, if I'm not too lazy.
Not much happened over the weekend -- hung out with my ex and her boyfriend, who happened to be a bartender at the Mag bar. Can't beat free drinks! I have also rekindled my love for fireballs. Shot of hot damn topped off with a splash of tabasco sauce, and possibly add some all-spice or pepper on top to taste.
Met some friends of friends. One interesting older black man... and by interesting I mean gives off that weird creepy vibe. For some reason, being around creepy dudes like that just amuses the hell out of me. I was informed later, in this order, that: a) He thought I was cute, and b) He used to send poetry to my friend Blue which involved raping white boys. Never a dull moment!
It's quite possible that if-/when-ever I settle down, I'll end up going back to Louisville. Or maybe not. I still have a lot of the world to see, and Louisville seems like such a small place now. Then again, maybe that's a good thing.
Also, I seem to have an invite to the Halloween party at the Playboy mansion. Not sure if I'll be able to go yet, but if not Halloween, then New Years. I wish I had to make more "tough" decisions like that.
