im not gay...
im not homophobic...
im not prejudiced...
but can anyone tell me why, when im in dupont dircle especially, gay black men have a tendency to violate my personal space? i do believe that this is mainly due to my profession & that im in uniform because this doesnt happen to me any other time.
example...
im at one of my normal eatery spots on p st nw & im outside conversing with the restaurant owners son. as we talk, a lone black male walks by me, stops, comes back & then steps between me & the person im talking to. he is literally 6 inches from me, saying nothing, just staring. i ask if he needs some assistance. he says nothing just licks his lips at me & stares lustfully at me. i guess he thought he was going to turn me out or something...i dunno. since he gives no answer, i tell him have a good nite & step away from him about 5 feet. he stays for a moment & then walks away.
another example...
i was in the same restaurant getting something to eat when a gay couple comes in, a black & white couple. i pay them no mind save a quick glimpse to see who has entered the location. they, in turn, begin to kiss & fondle each other to the point thati see hard dicks getting stroked overtop their pants.their activities made the owner extremely uncomfortable, yet he remained quiet, shooting me glances all the while. i turn my back to them, & eventually exit the restaurant. as i stood outside, i looked into the front window & observed they had stopped their sexual interlude. there were several customers inside waiting for food, men, women, gay, lesbian & straight. when my order came up i walked in the door. the black male saw me coming in, tapped his partner on the ass & they again began to fondle each other & kiss heavily. every once in a while as i paid for my food (they were standing next to me at this time) they would stop to see if i was reacting. i was as dead pan as leslie neilsen in airplane. i dont know how much longer they continued their actions...my back was to them as i walked out the door.
this is only 2 of the many times things like this have happened to me. i could literally relate 18 years of things like this. as i stated, im not gay, nor homophobic, nor prejudiced, but gay black men are the only people to do this to me, except the couple incident. i have worked security(plain clothes) for a glbt nite club & was never subjected to such actions. i have gay members in my family(my cuz michael & his partner dean just finalized their 3 wk old sons adoption...cudoz to them), i have gay & lesbian friends too. i have been to glbt nite clubs & neverhad any problems with anyone.i can only believe it has to do with my profession & the fact im in uniform.
yes, i am a "v" & im also an "e", but i believe there is a proper time & place for certain things. these were not those times...
