There was a woman who looked like Wilma form the Flintstones, only more Neanderthal and with grimace like she has phart trapped in her nose.
A man, with no neck it seems, gasped his order in line, for 3 donuts and a large coffee. I could hear his heart gasping through the bulk of his chest.
And then there is the Wolfman. Actually, hes fucking cool. I see him rarely when I decide to slum a bit and get Joe Dunkin Donuts coffee, and he sit by himself to a corner, to the side. I dig this guy. He has the slicked back Eddie Munster hair, and sideburns coming down wolverine style on his face. But hes well dressed, at least well dressed in Miami terms: nice short, good shorts, gold hanging form here and there. I thought he was awesome, and my finger was on my digital camera trying to figure how to take a picture without his notice or questions.
Damn it all, I should have taken it anyway.
But yes people are ugly fuckers, me included. I think its our attitudes that can bring that out. No, not one of those when you smile the world smiles kind of cocky bulllshit.
No, this is just the horrible drudgery of the day in and day out we go through.

Fugly is a new project of mine Im working on. Plain and simply its a redemption story on a superhero scale with a script form the Soprano and Piri Thomas Down the Mean Streets. I always hate the typical love story, the typical war story, or the typical anything. Typical redemption stories are another one; if youre the biggest fuck up life has to offer, and spend it being the evilest fuck, can one good thing really save your soul. DO you even have a soul? It Hitler decided to start hugging Jews in the middle of his march would we really forgive the fucker? Fugly is no tin that scale, we really just look at the ugliest leg breaker the Super Mafia has to offer going down another road, not so much the road of good, but more the path of Redemption, to redeem himself. Redemption doesnt mean you do good things, really, now does it? SO I hope to make a bit with the ultra violence in it, but also bring about some thought. Hopefully. Either way, Im going for the OGN format, 120-140 pages with bits here and their, and some pin ups. Itll take me a year to finished at least, and considering the other GN Im doing and my ongoing work on VIGIL (current story line is at 80 pages) I think even that estimate maybe shit. Put the coffee on, its going to be a long night.
Mars, Goddess of War is another project Im working on, with another artist, named Juan Patino. Its in the earliest stages, with basic character, plot and beats written down. Bare Bones and such, now needs the meat, and really its not about fattening it up at all, but at times, I hope Im not spouting some ridiculous clap trap here and there, that makes no bloody sense. Huge ideas loom in this, and sure, the center of it is a beautiful women wielding destruction left and right, but we need that seed of thought to motivate people a bit more.
My mission to lessen stupidity has no ends.
Medieval High is still going, a second short has been written but the artist involved seems to be busy as all hell, so I may illustrate the second short just to get guide for the rest. I think my style doesnt fit it, and his does to the bone, but seeing as how this money less venture till I get a publisher, I cant push. Plus the artist is so damn good; its worth waiting on him just because itll be that much better.
VIGIL is still going well, though I cant help but look back and wince here and there; great opportunities to some gorgeous stuff wasnt realized in time and I felt like I missed spots here and there to really bulk it up. Still thought, theres always a chance it I get a chance to publish the series in a book and clean it up a bit.
So yeah, very busy. Ive been reading a bit here and there and couple of hits you should look at:

New Avengers 7 & 8 have some of the best little lines between Marvel Folks Ive read in a while

WildSiders is fucked. I love the art, but Christ, they just threw me into the book. And its hierarchy is Gen 13 with holograms, all over again. Gee I wonder who the Lesbian is this time? I hope they takes their time with the book and try to make it a good read; you got the best art now, finish it off!
New Green Lantern is actually good.
Now I just need the new Green lantern Corp book and JSA Classified and Id be happy. Too bad my comic shop didnt order either. Crap.
